Join your Emanu-El community in the mitzvah of celebrating and rejoicing at our Festive Sukkot Shabbat Service. All ages are welcome for a multigenerational celebratory evening to revel in the splendor of the harvest holiday. See the Main Sanctuary Foyer turned into a gorgeous sukkah! Join us at 5:00 pm for Sukkot-themed foods and treats, followed by a special Shabbat service led by Rabbis Madeline Budman and Noah Westreich.

Meet Rabbi Rena Singer, celebrate the festival of Sukkot and learn about ancient Jewish astrology! Have your star chart read, learn your Hebrew zodiac sign and mark havdalah over wine, mocktails and appetizers. Come for an evening of connection and celebration in our beautifully decorated Sukkah. All 18+, female-identifying Emanu-El members are welcome. $18

Sage Brigade Chi-Gong and Sukkot Lunch with Cantor Marsha Attie

Join Cantor Attie with an easy Chi Gong workout in the Sukkah. Chi Gong is a traditional gentle movement and breathing practice that increases health and a sense of well-being. It can be done standing or in a chair. Wear comfortable clothing and shoes! Our Chi Gong session will begin promptly at 11:30 am, followed by lunch at 12:15 pm. This program is exclusively for members of our Sage Brigade 65+. $18

 

Men’s Scotch Tasting and Shesh Besh (Backgammon) with Rabbi Ryan Bauer

All male-identifying Emanu-El members are invited to join Rabbi Ryan Bauer on the seventh night of Sukkot for spirits, snacks, and shesh-besh – backgammon in Hebrew. Open to experienced and novice players – there will be an instructor! Or, just come for the scotch tasting and snacks. Start the new year with new friends! $18

On this upcoming Simchat Torah, we will dance harder and sing louder as a sign of our resiliency and Jewish pride. Please join us for an extraordinary night of music, delicious Ashkenazi fare and joyful prayer.
